Concrete Stamping

Concrete Stamping Concrete stamping, or patterned concrete, is a process which shapes ordinary concrete into patterns with the look of natural building materials such as brick and stone. This is accomplished by coloring and impressing patterns on the concrete before it sets. Concrete Expressions of Pine Bush New York uses specialized coloring agents and rubber stamping mats to create beautiful patterns into your walkways, patios, driveways and pool decks. There is a large selection of patterns to choose from which resemble bricks, pavers, slate, and more.

While the concrete is still wet, a coloring agent is applied to color the slab. After the concrete begins to harden, a colored antiquing release is spread evenly over the surface. Next a rubber mat with a textured pattern is laid over the slab which stamps the image into the concrete. When the concrete sets thoroughly, the excess release agent is washed off, the control joints are cut, and the slab is cleaned and sealed.
